Beyond Basics: Reticula and Fragments
This class will introduce students to the Zentangle technique of filling variously-shaped grid structures with a series of pattern fragments to create a larger design. Students will learn how to combine and manipulate different fragments to create unique patterns, coming away with an almost limitless supply of creative possibilities to apply to their Zentangle artwork. In addition to gaining an understanding of reticula and fragments, students will apply the technique in class to create their own one-of-a-kind “Zenbutton” on a Renaissance (tan) paper tile.
An additional charge for specialized supplies will apply and will be noted on the registration page. Students should also bring the supply kit they received in their “Introduction to Zentangle” class; alternatively, additional supplies may be purchased online from Laurel Storey, CZT up to a day prior to class for pickup at class.
